TD Forensics and its training partners are offering the most up-to-date and comprehensive Peer Support and First Responder Wellness class in Connecticut.
- Focusing on ALL First Responders
- Covering a wide range of topics.
This comprehensive multidisciplinary team of presenters will provide class participants with information on how to create and implement a Peer Support Team on both a state and regional levels.
The information provided will also address the following: Implementing and running a peer team both locally and regionally, how to support team members on the team individually, and most importantly, how to sustain a Peer Support Team over time.
Information on ethical concerns, agency concerns, and legal concerns will also be addressed.
Lastly, this training will also cover the topic of individual wellness as it pertains to Peer Support Teams and individual First Responders: Including agency and self-resiliency as well as future sustainability for both.
The mission of this training is that all participants will return to their respective organizations feeling knowledgeable, empowered, and prepared to aid in developing and sustaining their own PEER Support Team.
- Each class participant will be provided with an updated and current manual which can be referenced both in class and after the participant returns to their respective organization to aide with consistency and guidance.
- Each class participant will also be provided with an updated and current workbook containing example policies, forms, and other useful tools.
- Following completion of the class, each class participant will obtain 18-POST Certified Credits in the 400 area.
- Each class participant will learn from the vast knowledge multiple individuals who currently work in the fields of Peer Support, Wellness, and Mental Health.

· (18+ yr.) Former DMHAS employee specializing in CIT, Mobile Crisis, and Peer Support.
· 17+ years as the DMHAS Co-Lead for Region 3 CISM and DBHRN (CISM / CISD).
· TD Forensics, LLCS owner: Consultant, trainer, and clinical services provider.
Rodney Valdes, CSP-TFC
· Prior Peer Support Coordinator and current Public Safety Information Office Unit Supervisor and Chaplaincy Program Coordinator.

Class Cost is $200 per participant for the 3-day class.
Approved for 18 POST-Hours (level 400).
This class is approved for 18 OEMS CME/CEU credit hours (through EMS).
Classes are limited to 50 participants to allow for a rich, informative, and interactive experience. If there is extensive interest in a specific date / we may increase the slots allowed: Please use the "place on wait list" button.
